Football has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, either kicking a ball in the streets, at parks or for a team. I never imagined that my love for the sport would take me to where I am now and the positive impact I am having on the players lives. I have met so many amazing people and kids through coaching, whilst learning to improve myself as a coach and as an individual. Coaching grassroots football has had a positive impact on my life and gives me the chance to spend more time with my children who love playing and developing at Burgh Town FC. I have watched my team grow From U7's to where we are now, we have had highs and lows, but what an incredible journey it has been. I can honestly say, with hand on heart that Coaching kids football has been the best decision I have ever made.
My Coaching: Player development is having fun and learning with a smile, Positivity and player encouragement is at the forefront of my coaching sessions. I encourage all my players to Listen, Learn, Give effort, work together, encourage, positive mindset and most importantly to enjoy every aspect of Playing Football. I believe that I can coach any child at any ability and improve all areas of their Football core skills, although this takes time, with patience, understanding and attention to detail, the development of the player will be clear to see. Although my time with a player in their football journey is only a small part, I hope that what I've coached them will have a lasting impact. "What we do in training, reflects in the game"

I’ve always had a passion for football and sports. I was always playing football when I was younger and now that my son is part of Burgh Town FC I can put that passion into his journey.
Transitioning from a dad on the side line to now being an assistant coach has been a new and exciting adventure.
What I like about coaching is that we are not just working on football skills, we are also teaching them the values of teamwork, discipline and resilience.
