Jamie Dalby :
Becoming the chairman of Burgh Town has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of my life. My journey to this position wasn't driven by a desire for recognition or power, but by a deep passion for the sport, a commitment to the community, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of all players.
One of my main goals as chairman is to ensure that the club remains inclusive and accessible to all children and adults, regardless of their background or financial situation. Football has the power to break down barriers, and I want to make sure that every child and adult has the opportunity to play, learn, and grow. By offering affordable fees, and organizing community events, I believe we can make the sport more accessible and give every child and adult the chance to enjoy the beautiful game.
Sean Kirby:
I am the longest serving qualified coach at burgh. I have seen the demise of burgh athletic and wasn't willing to let the club die out, and for all the children to be without football. So along with an incredible team we formed the new committee, new club and new hope for these kids. I became part of the committee because I want to see the change and be part of it.
I'm excited for the future of this club and cannot wait to see how far we will go.
Emma Young:
I became Secretary when my son played for Burgh Athletic Juniors FC. I loved the thought of a local team, in our home town and wanted to be a part of creating a safe and fun club for the children of Burgh and further afield. As Secretary, I do a lot behind the scenes, to keep the club ticking over and I am proud to be a part of that. I look forward to our new, exciting journey as Burgh Town FC
Alex Johnson:
I became the treasurer of Burgh Town FC because I wanted to support both the club and its players, including my son, who is part of the team. As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact the club has on young athletes, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game.
With a background in accounts, I took on this role to help ensure the club’s financial stability, transparency, and growth. My goal is to manage budgets effectively and make sure resources are allocated in a way that benefits all participants. By taking on this responsibility, I hope to contribute to the club’s long-term success and provide players with the best possible experience on and off the field.
Becky Wilkinson:
I became a club welfare officer in 2022 when Burgh Athletic Juniors were formed, like most volunteers I stepped up when no one else would!
It’s a wild ride and a rollercoaster that has brought so much joy and gave me a purpose when I needed one.
To be able to provide affordable football to boys and girls is a privilege and I’m so proud to be a part of this community.
Sophie Kirby:
When I heard that the football club my son plays for was making changes for the better, I knew I wanted to become part of the committee and help make a difference. I love everything Burgh Town fc stands for, its a diverse club that feels like family. I have always been good at organising parties or get togethers and I love a theme so becoming events manager was a perfect role for me !
Cara Harrison:
I was delighted to be asked to join the newly formed Burgh Town FC Committee as Sponsorship Manager. Being part of the club has been a fantastic experience and I’m excited to help contribute to the future of its growth and improvement.
Sponsorship is vital for the club as it helps provide better facilities, equipment and opportunities for our players. It ensures we can keep football accessible for all, support coach development and create a thriving community for young athletes to enjoy the game. I look forward to working with local businesses and supporters to help Burgh Town FC continue to grow!
Kim Overton:
I am proud to serve as a committee member for Burgh Town FC in the role of Parent and Coach Liaison, where I act as a key point of contact between families and our coaching team. I believe in fostering open dialogue, ensuring everyone feels heard, and helping create a supportive and enjoyable environment for all. The club's values closely align with my own, and as a parent of a player, it's an added bonus to see the positive impact the club has on my son and his teammates.
