Burgh Town FC (The Spartans) is a grassroots football club based in Burgh Le Marsh, near Skegness.

Our teams consist of: U14, U12, U11, U9, U7, U6, Ages 3-5

Our mission is to make football accessible and affordable for all children aged 3-17 regardless of ability. We focus on fostering a love for the game, ensuring player enjoyment, supporting development, and building a welcoming community where everyone feels valued.

As a close-knit football family, we take pride in nurturing young players and helping them grow within the sport.

Looking ahead, we aim to expand our reach by offering football opportunities for the wider community. Our goal is to create high-quality environments where players of all ages and abilities can thrive.

My name is Anastasia and I am a Strength and Conditioning in Sport student at the University of Lincoln. As part of my course I did a 10-week placement with Burgh Town FC Under 14s which included strength and conditioning training once a week with the squad.

The squad have been amazing. They are always willing to try whatever they were asked of, most of the time it was new to them and can be quite challenging. They are a hard working and fun bunch who are clearly passionate about football and are incredible team players.

Sean, the Vice Chairman and head coach of the under 14s squad, is an incredible coach who is very passionate and knowledgable. I came in not very confident with football but he has been so kind and accommodating. The squad have a very good coach who will always have their backs and wants them to do well.

I am very thankful for this opportunity with Burgh Town FC and its contribution to my degree, education and career.endurance, and agility, as well as to develop the mental toughness they need to succeed on and off the field.

"The reason I like Playing for Burgh is because when I first started at Burgh this season, it was really hard leaving my Skeg Town team, but I made friends really quickly and it helped to settle me into the team. Everyone was so welcoming.

Also, at the end of every match (or at training), someone always gets a trophy and everyone always gets excited to see who it's going to be.

Training is also really fun, as you get to develop skills and get better as a player.

The one thing I love most about Burgh, is just being able to play Football. Football is the best and I absolutely love it, I get to play it with all my friends. I'm really glad I joined this team"
